As an artist I seek to represent those unguarded moments in people's lives. Sometimes they are surreal or whimsical depictions, metaphors for how people are feeling. In my writing I try and carry over such an analytical portrayal pocketed with comedy. The point is to demonstrate universal emotions and events that everyone experiences so that the audience can turn to one another or to their inner self and say "Hey, I've totally felt that way". By bringing those instances into the light, which are usually somber, I hope to open a dialogue with the community that proves comforting. The idea is that you're not alone and there is a society out there that is going through, or has gone through, precisely what you think might be some of the darkest moments in your life. The point is that it's not the end of the world although sometimes it might seem, and that you should carry every burden with a little bit of humor.
